Radiant Willow

We all have a radiant willow inside of us.

The willow is a tree that has both strong roots and flexible branches. If a branch is cut and then planted it will regenerate into a new tree. The willow is a tree that can thrive in challenging situations making it a powerful symbol of strength, resilience and power.

Like the willow, my desire is to support you to access your own inner strength and radiance.

Hi, I’m Elissa.

I am a health coach for women who desire greater balance in their lives and wish to approach their healing in a holistic way. I help women reclaim their strength and well-being and experience a sense of inner radiance once again.

Working together, we will explore the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of your health with the intention of renewing your inner resources so that you can bring more light to our world.

I am here to support you to live your truth and cultivate a life that is in integrity with your beliefs and values. In doing so, my hope is for you to regain a sense of energy and vibrancy.

Let’s cultivate a more radiant way of being…

I believe that health is a fluid passage into greater awareness, flexibility and wholeness and that we improve our health first and foremost by looking inward. Women have the power to create real change on our planet which so desperately needs to be healed. To do so we must first nurture, water and support each individual woman so they can flower into the blossom that they were meant to be.

And that is my commitment to you:

to hold you as you root deeply into the most supportive and aligned path forward for you.

While we’ll explore your health through the lenses of the physical, spiritual, emotional, environmental and nutritional, I will also hold three core principles at the center of our work together.

balance

Balance requires us to determine what is most important and then make choices to create space for those parts of our lives. Through our work together we will find ways to prioritize the most important aspects of your life and address the places in which you may be in a state of imbalance.

resilience

Resilience is about being able to bounce back easefully in times of stress. Cultivating resilience requires us to learn to think in different ways, developing new neural pathways that can shift how we respond to the world around us. When we cultivate resilience, we are less impacted by the world around us and can stay more rooted in ourselves.

In this world that moves so quickly, it can feel hard - or even counter culture - to slow down. Slowing down often requires us to sacrifice something, to say no to an opportunity or to do less - and therefore many of us resist it. In order to truly tend to what matters and to create a sense of balance in our lives, slowing down is a vital piece of this work. I cannot offer you a quick fix or any flashy solutions, but I can offer you gentle holding and steadiness as you transition back into wholeness in a slow and sustainable way.

Bach Flower Remedies Session:

Bach Flower remedies are a safe and natural method of healing used to gently restore the balance between the mind and the body. Working to create subtle shifts on an emotional level, these flower remedies help us transition from a state of negative emotions to one of more peace and calm. This can be helpful if you are feeling a sense of stuckness, grief, fear, resentment or any other emotional experience that is holding you back in some way. In this single session, I will guide you to learn about the remedies and how to use them in your own life so you can carry this as a self-care tool going forward. I can also make you up a combination of remedies, as well.

In the future I will be offering these circles as a safe space for women to come together and speak their truth. Speaking circles enable people to speak what is real while being offered deep relational presence from those witnessing, which creates a therapeutic process.

The path we take will lead you back to the version of you that feels most alive…

While the journey you take will be uniquely yours, and I’ll meet you exactly where you’re at, there are five core aspects of health I weave into all of my work:

Physical

Together, we’ll explore alternative ways to support your physical health that step outside of the scope of the mainstream medical model. I’ll empower you to make informed decisions about how to support your physical health by offering you education and resources.

Spiritual

It is my belief that we are all spiritual in some way. Even if you don’t have a spiritual practice, your sense of spirituality may simply be connecting to your higher purpose and why you are here. Spirituality is about being connected to something bigger than us. It might be found in a form of religion or in the interactions and connections we have with other people. It might exist in nature or in a quiet moment alone. We’ll explore your version of spirituality and how a connection to this part of yourself can support your healing journey and create more meaning in your life.

Emotional

The emotional is equally important, if not more so, than the physical. I believe disease often comes from a sense of “dis-ease”. Therefore, we can create better health by looking inward. I also believe in the power of self-discovery, creativity and self expression to create a more full-bodied, robust level of health. In our work together we’ll explore all of these aspects of the emotional level. We’ll also weave in ways for you to connect to your Divine Feminine, the duality of softness and power that exists within all of us.

Environmental

We’ll get curious about the spaces you regularly inhabit and how they may be impacting your health. From the chemicals you use in your house to the physical nature of your space and the way it impacts you on an emotional level, we’ll identify simple changes that could make a significant impact on how you feel.

Nutritional

Finally, we’ll explore food. I believe in the power of whole foods and vibrant colors. I also don’t think that one particular approach will work for everyone. Different people have different nutritional needs, so we’ll identify what will work for you on your own unique level. We may also explore supplementation if that is something you’re interested in. Food is medicine and we’ll focus on creating beautiful, colorful meals that can heal you on many levels.

A little bit about me…

I am a Registered Nurse, Certified Holistic Nurse, Whole Health Educator, Patient Advocate and Health Coach. Growth and self-exploration has been my driving force for more than 30 years.

I’ve always felt called to healing work. When I was little, I remember reading books about Florence Nightingale and being so drawn to the ways in which we can support our bodies, minds and spirits. Finding meaning in this often chaotic world was crucial for me. This passion has continued to grow throughout my own development.

In college I struggled with an eating disorder and realized I had to change my ways. I started exploring natural methods of healing and embarked on a spiritual journey. I learned to care not only for my physical body but also to tend to the spiritual and emotional aspects of myself. I’ve never looked back from this holistic way of approaching wellness.

My Hebrew name is Chava, which means mother of all living things. I see myself foremost as a mother, both in the literal sense of the word and also in my ability to hold other women as they birth their own possibilities, creative projects or new ways of being.

I have a background in childbirth education and support and have raised four children of my own through a holistic health lens. I have also studied art, counseling, grief and bereavement, non-violent communication and have worked extensively as a women’s health nurse.

A final note…

Our world is at a pivotal time. I believe in the power of the matriarchy to change the current status of our planet. This requires that each woman sits in her power and fosters her innate divine feminine and sense of wholeness and health.

I dream of a peaceful world rooted in cooperation, togetherness and a sense of being with one another. We begin to create that world by practicing these skills first and foremost with ourselves.

If you feel the call to connect deeply with the radiance that exists within you, I’d be delighted to work together to support you.
